A very, very simple spaghetti sauce
Directions
Chop the yellow onion into small pieces and mince the garlic.
In a large pot coat the bottom with olive oil. Turn heat to medium and add the onions and garlic. Cook until onions are translucent and garlic is fragrant (careful not to brown the garlic).
Add the cans of crushed tomato, sugar, salt, basil to the pot. Heat to a slow boil then reduce heat to low.
Put a cover on the pot and simmer for at least 45 minutes.
Cook pasta as per package instructions. Make sure all the water is gone before adding to the sauce! You don’t want a watery sauce, it completely changes the meal.
Cover with parmasean or peccorino when ready to serve.

I love simple Italian dishes – this looks great
You need to try the bottles of crushed tomatoes from Bosa. You’ll never use canned tomatoes again. They taste like tomatoes! Amazing the differece not being in contact with metal for a couple months makes.
What is the brand name of these tomatoes. I will definitely try them.
It’s just their house brand – Italissima
