Marinated Mushrooms

Okay, so I am about to give you the easiest recipe known to mankind that will take your eaters to a divine extacy.  You only need button mushrooms for this experience and it is too simple to put into words.  Well, not that simple because I am about to put it into words now.

Marinated Mushrooms

  • Buy a bunch of button mushrooms, as many as you need
  • Olive oil
  • White wine vinegar
  • salt
  • pepper
  • fresh tarragon
  • 3 shallots or more depending on how many mushrooms you want to marinade.

Directions:

In a very hot pan with 2 tbs of olive oil put in mushrooms and fry until you get a good golden coloring on them.  Make sure the pan is hot or the mushrooms will boil and not sear.  When the mushrooms begin to brown add the shallots.  When it all looks golden and tasty pour the white wine vinegar around the edge of the pan (this will allow the vinegar to evaporate before it boils the mushrooms).  Add salt and pepper.  When mushrooms look extravagent, pour into a bowl to cool.  Add fresh tarragon and mix it around with the mushrooms.  Let cool.  Can be kept in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.  YUM!
