Claire’s Cake Pops

Okay, I know.  It has been way too long since i have posted.  I don’t have a good excuse.  I have been working as a private chef so I am practically cooking everyday, but I have yet to strike a balance between getting the job done and taking the time to photograph the outcome.  I have perfected mac and cheese though and a very quick and easy one at that.  My kids officially love it.  I made it last night, did i photograph it? No.  Jeepers.  It is a bit ridiculous but I know in the New Year I am going to make this a priority.  Well, I nailed Christmas this year.  I bought my daughter a cooking gadget and nothing filled me with more sublime happiness than watching her use it, while i baked vicariously through her.  I saw this in a Canadian Tire Flyer and went hunting for it.  So glad i did.  I also stopped at Micheals with my 50% off coupon to get addition fun assortments and sprinkles, fondant and stuff.  So, it comes with recipes and is really quite self explanatory.  We just used topping we had around the house.  Stay tuned though, we are quite excited to get better at this.  Happy New Year!

The machine comes with a tray, sticks and stick holder.  You can buy additional sticks at Micheals.

Here is the machine.  It works just like a waffle maker.  The light shuts off when they are done.  They don’t take long at all, maybe 5-7 min.

How fun is this?  I accidentally ate her “favorite” one though.  The one with the glitter sparkles from Duffs baking line at Micheals.

Here is a list of toppings we had from around the house:

Rice Crispies, Nerds, coconut, cake sprinkles, Duff glitter sparkle (bought that one), pecans, chocolate chips, etc.

Claire is going to make them again, using fondant, these are her practice ones.  I will post again.
